Supporting your child with TTRockStars
It is expected that all pupils from Years 1 to 6 complete 15 games weekly as part of their homework.
You can access Times Tables Rockstars at home on any internet device, through an internet browser.
The Times Tables Rockstars week begins on a Thursday at 1.30pm and ends the following Thursday 1.30pm.
After 15 games have been completed, children can play as many battles as they would like, earning them more coins which they can use in the virtual shop.
Multiple player games can be accessed once all 15 games have been completed.
Garages are unlocked once all 15 games have been completed.
What is Times Tables Rock Stars?
In either paper form or online, Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of daily times tables practice.
Each week concentrates on a different times table, with a recommended consolidation week for rehearsing the tables that have recently been practised every third week or so.
This format has very successfully boosted times tables recall speed for hundreds of thousands of pupils over the last 8 years in over 12,000 schools - both primary and secondary - worldwide.
All children should complete at least 15 sessions per week which run from Thursday to Thursday. On a Wednesday those that have done at least double this will receive a certificate and reminders will be given to those still yet to complete them. During assembly the child in each class who has completed the most sessions will be announced and they can choose to wear non school uniform on a day of the following week if they wish to. Class certificates will be given each week to the highest participating class or according to speed and accuracy. Individual children that achieve 'Rock Hero' status will also receive a gold badge.
Top participants each week will be added to the hall of fame board.
