This week we have been reflecting on the life of the Queen  in preparation for her funeral on Monday.  We have been thinking about the huge role that our new King will have and we have learned our new National Anthem for King Charles III

Following the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, our thoughts are with the royal family at this very sad time. 

She was a national treasure, ambassador, role model and an enduring servant of us all: devoted, constant, dignified, loyal and loved. 70 years, 15 Prime Ministers and just one Queen, our Queen.

Some of our Year 5 children have begun taking part in "Spud Buds". This is a befriending programme which matches different people in society and is run by Sheppey Matters and the community chef. It will run every week until the end of term. The visitors and children get to build relationships whilst learning different cooking skills and exploring different recipes. 

The children and staff supported World Down Syndrome Day by wearing odd socks.

The children helped to support the Red Nose Day charity this week by dressing in red, wearing something funny or dressing as a super hero!
