Year 5 Flutes

The year group have been divided into four and children are learning either violin, viola, 'cello or flute. Check the relevant instrument pages for updates on progress!
Flute
The flute is from a family of musical instruments known as woodwind. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. Initially it's quite difficult to make a sound but with patience and perseverance this will develop.
