Year 5 Cellos
As part of the Wider Opportunities programme Year 5 will spend their music lessons this year learning to play an orchestral instrument. The year group have been divided into four and children are learning either violin, viola, 'cello or flute. Check the relevant instrument pages for updates on progress!
'Cello
The 'cello or violoncello is a string instrument. It is played by bowing or plucking its four strings. It is the bass member of the violin family, which also includes the violin, viola and the double bass. 'Cellists get to play sitting down so it's perfect for those of us who like to be more relaxed!
