We recently received an update on the furniture that we sent from the old school to Gbuhuhan school in Sierra Leone. We saw pictures of the furniture being used and found out that the school is on the edge of a village that has circular mud brick huts. It has a bucket well and a tiny clinic with an English speaking auxiliary nurse.
The village is not large and many of the school’s children walk miles along paths in the bush from other settlements. They are extremely proud that they have a proper school with furniture and blackboards.
We decided to send them a book of messages and pictures from our new school building which the whole school helped to make. We hope that they will be in touch with us again soon and enjoy reading our book!
