#HereForYou social media campaign

Many of you are aware how to access support for emotional wellbeing via GPs and schools, but we would like to remind parents that those services are still available during this current pandemic. Therefore, we are supporting the #HereForYou social media campaign and will be posting information daily over the next 20 days starting Monday 25th May 2020 about the range of services available to support you. Day 1: Single point of Access (SPA)

 

If you are concerned about a young person's mental health and are not sure what extra help is needed you can call the Single Point of Access (SPA) on 0300 123 4496. The SPA is there to help you explore the difficulties and find the most appropriate response. We are still #HereForYou.

Day 2: Kooth

 

Aged between 10-16 and need mental health support? Kooth is #HereForYou.

 

Please visit www.kooth.com to register for our supportive online community where we have lots of guided support courses and resources for you.

Day 3: Domestic abuse

 

Support is available from domestic abuse services in Kent during this time for victims and those worried about loved ones.

Visit www.domesticabuseservices.org.uk for local support services and advice, or contact the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0800 2000 247 for confidential support 24 hours a day.

 

You can also ring Childline on 0800 1111 if you are a child or young person who is a victim, or are worried about domestic violence in your home. 

Day 4: Big White Wall

 

Big White Wall privides mental health support for young people aged 16-18 in Kent. Visit www.bigwhitewall.com to access the supportive online community which includes lots of guided support course and resources.

 

Kooth also provides free, safe and anonymous online support for younger people: www.kooth.com

Day 5: Release the Pressure

Day 6: Moodspark

 

The#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, Moodspark is #/HereForYou.

 

They provide mental health support to young people in Kent and their website is full of useful resources and service information for parents and teachers too: www.kentresilience.hub.org.uk

Day 7: Kent Child Health

 

If your child is aged 4-19 and struggling with their emotional health, you can access support from the Children and Young People's Counselling Service.

Did you know that everyone aged 16-18 in Kent now has access to Big White Wall which provides confidential mental health support online 24/7.

 

You can speak to someone who understands what you're going through, anytime, anywhere.

Day 15: ChatHealth

 

If you are aged between 11-19 years old and struggling with your emotions, we are still #HereForYou.

Day 16: Moodspark

 

We know it's been a confusing and worrying time recently, but Moodspark is #HereForYou.
