2010-High 5 Netball

netballpic.jpg

Seven children represented our school on Tuesday 9th March brilliantly in the High 5 Netball festival.
Out of ten schools we came an impressive 2nd place.
The team successfully won every game in their group to reach the semi-finals.
The semi-final was more of a challenge having to go to extra time to find a winner.
The final was tough, but our team tried hard, but unfortunately lost 3-1 in the end.
The children have a lovely silver medal as a memento.

However, we have been invited to represent Sittingbourne and Swale Partnership at the Kent Games in July!

2009 Virtual League

speedbouncea.jpg

Virtual League.

The Virtual league allows children from all year groups to compete against each other and children from other schools.
Each term the activity will be different and they will have the opportunity to practise in PE time prior to the competition.

Term 2 was the Speed Bounce challenge!
Children had 20 seconds to see how many times they could jump over a small obstacle with their feet stuck together.
An Athletics coach, Matt came in to record the results and was very impressed with the support the children gave each other.

Everyone seemed to have a really good time and could not wait to check their scores against the Speed Bounce posters!
The results will be sent to a central person who will tally up the scores and let us know if we have any winners.
